Connect Marrickville' is a Schools as Communities Centre, funded under the Families NSW (formerly Families First) initiative to support families raising young children from birth to 8 years in the South Marrickville area.

Based in the grounds of Marrickville West Public School the centre offers a range of activities and services.

Connect Marrickville' aims to:

1. increase supportive connections for families
2. increase use of health and community services, resources and activities
3. increase social, emotional and communication skills for school preparedness
4. promote early literacy for children
5. increase community engagement and participation

by a range of activities such as:

• supported playgroups (eg. Multi Mix Mob Indigenous Playgroup, Young Parents, Open)
• women's groups (eg. Indonesian, Japanese, Multicultural, Health and Well-being)
• adult education with creche (eg. English classes and other TAFE Outreach courses)
• parenting groups (eg. "Parenting Between Cultures", 1,2,3 Magic)
• community cultural development (eg. Dance Around the World, Film Club, Cultural Cooking Exchange)
